About Nexel Byte

A technology partner for decisions that need to hold up.

Nexel Byte is a Glasgow-based consultancy connecting product thinking, engineering, quality and Microsoft Azure delivery around the service that needs to change.

Our point of view

Good technology removes uncertainty instead of moving it somewhere else.

We begin with how a service really works: the people, decisions, information, dependencies and risks around it. That creates a useful problem boundary before anyone commits to a preferred tool or architecture.

Delivery then stays visible. Decisions have owners, progress is demonstrated through working increments, and evidence is kept beside claims. The aim is a useful service and a team that can operate it—not a handover full of surprises.

01

Clarity

Make the problem, assumptions, trade-offs and delivery state understandable to the people responsible for them.

02

Dependability

Treat accessibility, security, quality and operability as product behaviour rather than final-stage checks.

03

Stewardship

Leave teams with useful documentation, clearer ownership and technology they can continue to change.

Accountable delivery

A clear line from context to operation.

The exact activities change with the engagement, but responsibility and evidence stay visible throughout.

  1. 01

    Understand the service

Start with users, workflows, decisions, data, dependencies and the operating environment.

  2. 02

    Expose the choices

Record assumptions, constraints and trade-offs so decisions can be challenged and revisited.

  3. 03

    Deliver visibly

Use working increments, demonstrations and quality evidence to keep progress grounded in reality.

  4. 04

    Prepare for operation

Make support boundaries, observability, documentation and knowledge transfer part of delivery.

Working relationship

A delivery shape matched to the uncertainty.

A bounded discovery, defined delivery, dedicated squad, embedded specialist or ongoing optimisation relationship can each be appropriate. Scope, commercials and timing are agreed only after the requirement is understood.

01

Discovery sprint

A structured piece of discovery that turns an uncertain opportunity into an evidence-led delivery decision.

02

Fixed-scope delivery

A bounded engagement for a clearly defined outcome, with shared acceptance criteria and controlled change.

03

Dedicated product squad

A multidisciplinary team aligned to an evolving product or transformation backlog and its measurable priorities.

04

Embedded specialist

Focused expertise integrated with an existing team to address a defined capability or delivery gap.

05

Ongoing optimisation and support

A governed improvement relationship for live products and platforms, shaped around an agreed operational backlog.

Trust needs visible boundaries.

Published work states the delivery relationship and evidence status. Reported legacy portfolio accounts stay labelled, and unsupported logos, statistics and testimonials remain absent.

Original system visuals are recorded with their source and review status, and substantive guidance is maintained with the website content in Git.
